I did a treatment in my display tank and am done now. I know skimmers are notorious for overflowing when you add meds. I did a 25 percent WC, added a bunch of carbon (double the recommended amount for my tank size), ran that for a week, and tried putting on the skimmer. Still overflowing. Do I need more water changes?

Its doing its job, its pulling stuff out of the water. I would attach a hose to that outlet and just let it pour out into a bucket until it was done. (Then you will need to mix a some saltwater to replace what was taken out. )

My skimmer looks different. I just open and close red valve to control bubbles overflow
I would check manufacture website/ manual for more information

I second this. This is what I have done in the past. Turn of your ATO, let the skimmer overflow and drain into a bucket, replace the saltwater as the need arises.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
