Setting up a new system which will likely have total water volume of 75-80 gal. I'd like to (eventually) keep primarily SPS but suspect it will be somewhat mixed.

Looking for a skimmer with a compact footprint. I'm considering the Aquamaxx CO-1, but worried it might be too much for my water volume.
Any recommendations?

You shouldn't run a skimmer 24/7 in a mainly sps tank in my opinion. Here's this one you can look at Reef Octopus Classic 110 Space Saver Protein Skimmer

I feel it pulls out to much of the good things in the tank that the corals need with all the bad stuff. I almost never have to run my skimmer in my sps tank the corals seem to filter most everything out
