I use a Deltec 1000i and I have used Deltec for a number of years now and have always been impressed, It started skimming straight away, just needed a minor adjustment to set it how I wanted it, it is absolutely silent, has a few nice features and is very well made and sturdy, feels solid.
I have used other skimmers in the past but always went back to Deltec.
Save some money and spend it on some nice corals for your tank.
