Skinny sump options?

Thinking about adding a hang over back overflow and sump to my 55g but there doesn't seem to be alot of skinny dimension options. I only have 11x24" space available in stand since the other portion is enclosed shelves. This would be my first sump experience.
Any good setups or diy I should look at?

I would consider an aqueon 10 gallon tank for that space and you can diy the compartments.

Well, you MAY be able to have one custom built, but those tend to be expensive (actually cost prohibitive). The 15G high is 24x10x18. Not sure I'd you can accommodate 18 inches high. Or, as mentioned, a routine 10G. It won't hold much, but you could work with it I'm sure

If a standard 10 gallon tank will fit then I would just use one of those. You don't really need any baffles or anything. Just one line up, one line down, a return pump and a heater. There's probably quite a few skimmers that would fit too if you're looking to go that route, but overall just keep it simple. GL.

Oh yeah. You could just divide into two with skimmer on one side and return on the other. If you wanted to use a filter sock, you could do that as well, but it would just hang there skimmer side. I did that once with a 20 long.
