I'm telling you bud, from one long time reefkeeper to another. Use chemiclean. I fought for ages after the whole bobit worm take-down to fix my tank. Only chemiclean helped. Ill never, ever hesitate to use it. I tried starving my fish, black outs, 20% water changes siphoning out the slime every 2-3 days for a month, the Zoevit cyanno stuff, bacteria dosing. I even vacuumed my sandbed into a stack of 7 filtersocks every day for 2-3 weeks.

PS: I ran two air pumps feeding under my mp40s and ran my skimmer full boar during the treatment.

Terrible... About to give up on it to be honest.

I've been far too busy getting ready for the new baby that's coming via C section this next Friday.

I misjudged how much water I took out.... LOL I'm about 10g shy of full right now.

I plan on setting GFO back on the tank today as well, possibly carbon too.

Wow. I'm sorry this happened to you. Did you lose all your clams? Looks like a lot of coral are still surviving :) How about your sticks? From what I can see on my phone it looks like at least some are living.

I think the root cause of the issue is I tried Nualgi and had bad results. That coupled with work being crazy and the baby coming I haven't had much tank time.

Yep, the clams were the first to go. I've lost about 40% of my SPS, the Monti's are doing great through all of this though.

I think I would've cried for days and days.... On the plus side, at least it wasn't a total loss. And I know you can get this tank back to it's gorgeous self again soon :)

Sorry about the clams. I lost a 2 inch a month ago and just about gave them up. Glad the sps is trying and still hanging in there. You'll be back to 100% very shortly.

It is so easy to get tanked with a tank.lol that is why I run a mixed reef - in the case a certain type hits the fan I have fall back directions to go with. Been having issues down south too. Lost a couple of my fav's over the past 2 months from colonies to frags and as usual - cant put my finger on it. Tank is still lookin good thru these eyes bro - hang in there n gratz on the baby - me and the boss lady will be trying this year and I can only imagine what that will do to my tank routines.lol

Sorry to hear about the clams - know thats your thing - u got salt in the veins tho.

I flanked mine with 4 ATI T5s and going to add 2 more because they weren't enough... The LEDs come on first and go off last, my corals don't start opening untill the T5s come on. Hmmmmm
