I just added an SL2V2 and an ALC to my RKE system and have a couple of questions.

Regarding the salinity probe, is there a separation you need to maintain between the salinity probe and the pH probe? Can one probe affect the readings of the other?

On the ALC, I read on the DA forums that you can program the temperature of AI Sol lights (i.e. 14k, 20k, etc.). I don't see that option looking at the programming on myReef or ReefkeeperNET. Was this option removed from the programming? I didn't look at the head unit display so maybe it's there.

Thanks for the help.

The white and blue channels have separate programming. Change the max output on white and blue for your color temp preference.

The SL2v2 probe inputs are isolated. I have had no issues with probe interaction.

Thanks Danny. I suppose there wouldn't be a problem if the pH probe was run from an SL1 and the salinity probe from the SL2.

You can try that. The SL1 is not isolated so more than likely if you are going to have an issue it will be with the pH or ORP port on that module.

I calibrated the salinity probe over the weekend with calibration fluid. What unit does the SL2 report in, PPT or MS? Do you use 35 or 52 as your second calibration number or doesn't it matter since the fluid represents both numbers?

You choose 35 or 53 depending on which readback you want. I used 35 on mine which would be ppt.

I might have to re-calibrate the probe but I'm getting spikes in my salinity readings. It goes from 33 to 27 approximately. The module is SL2V2. I have the probe in the overflow within the tank along with a pH probe. Do you think there is interference caused by the close location of the probes? Both probes are submerged.

Sounds like I should move the probe. Thanks

I took the probe out of the return and moved it to a calmer location in the tank. The level stabilized so that was the issue. Thanks for the help.

Did DA eliminate the ability to select the light temp when using the ALC? I don't see that setting on the head unit, NET or SIDV2. I only see percentage of intensity and ramp time for white and blue. If this is true it's disappointing as I wanted to select the color and adjust the intensity independently.

You adjust max intensity of the white and blue separately now. The difference between them is all that setting was doing anyway. This way you have more control.
