Over the past 12+ years at World Wide Corals we have built our reputation on outstanding customer service and for having some of the most sought-after collectable corals in the aquarium industry. We have a very busy retail store located in Orlando Florida that is open to the pubic 7 days a week as well as a very successful on-line store called worldwidecorals.com where we ship 1000’s of boxes of live corals annually. We have always been big believers in preserving the reef, so we are big into propagating corals and sustainable practices. Based off that belief, a few years back we opened a large state of the art indoor coral farm where we aquaculture our own corals.
What many people do not know is that we also have an aquarium and installation division part of WWC. Over the years we have done a lot of basic aquarium installation as well as several major custom projects. Two years ago, one of our great long-time customers took a trip down to visit us in Orlando with the site plans of his amazing new beach front home. In the new dream home plan, the plan includes a huge peninsula style display tank that is located on the second floor of the home. The tank over looks the Atlantic Ocean. On the first floor the plans call for a dedicated ‘fish room” that encompasses another large display tank, water filtration system, 2 RO water vats, 2 frag tanks, and work area with sink. Our customer expressed to us that he wanted WWC to handle the project. We were very elated that he chose us for his amazing project. It took us few hours of asking questions and trying to get a clear understanding of the project, but we finally nailed down a game plan!
Fast forward 2 years later to March 2019 and now the house is almost completed, the tanks are in place. However, there is still a lot more to be done before things are completed. We recently decided that we wanted to share this project with the aquarium masses, so over the next several weeks we will be updating this thread with pics and info so please follow along and feel free to ask questions.
Initial consultation with the family to review site plans and drawings (March 2017)
Preliminary drawings for location of main display tank. The home owner explained to us that the main display tank will be located on the 2nd floor. We knew it was time to start to thinking logistics!
Site plans for 1st floor pump room/fish room includes another large display tank, 2 frag tanks, water filtration systems, 2 water barrels, and water change station.
