Also to get back to the topic of the thread, I have a 3d printer and design lots of stuff for my reef tank. Floss baskets, replacement skimmer silencers and risers, test kit caddys, nem guards, tube / probe / valve holders, etc. I am in the process of designing a controller board to clean up my cables a bit.
I couldn't tell you, it was purchased from China and they've since went out of business.
I've made so many improvements on it that even if I did recall the brand, it no longer resembles what I purchased.

I just got a cheap 10w Mecpow x3 pro laser (270€ in europe included bed and air assist). I work mostyl with 3/3.5mm black plexi. Surely if budget would let me, a big CO2 would be my choiche so i would be able to cut also transparent plexi. If by build your own electronics you mean put components together on a pcb no, i am not, i am more repurposing electronics to fit my needs.

That is awesome. What did you use to cover the cabinet? Is plexiglass, expansed PVC or what? I want to do a new cabinet in the spring and i am looking for a way to cover it.I build everything from the ground up.. stands, sumps, tanks, canopies, lighting, skimmers etc lol. Last one I just did for a buddy..

It’s fully aluminum.. 1.25 aluminum sq tube and laminated with .063 aluminum sheets, all painted satin black with automotive paint. The door is 6mm acm panel for better rigidity.

I currently have two projects in the works. 1st project I am working on is an algae turf scrubber. I still need some more materials to build the box to house the scrubber material and to purchase some grow lights. 2nd project is going to be a water mixing station with auto water change and RO/DI auto fill & top off controlled by Hydros.

I just built this LED fixture for my 5.5G frag holding tank the other day-
Its on the bottom shelf of my DIY (Rocketengineer plans) stand on my 40 breeder, which also has DIY LED pendants-
I also stopped by TAP Plastics to buy more Weld-On #4 and acrylic to build some protein skimmers based on some twenty year old plans from Nano-Reef, from this thread here (I'm building the aspirating venturi version)
I have built a few over the years, and they always work excellent.

Getting ready for my first reef tank, 40B. I know the 2x6 are overkill, but can’t hear free! I left that gap at the tuck all the wires in and have room for my HOB.

My 40 Breeder I didn't do 2x6, but each leg is three each 2x4, and I have a center brace between the front and back rails on the top. Between that, glue, screws, and a plywood top these are super strong.
I keep mine at 32ppt as it's Fowlr. I actually made another version that has higher walls to prevent leakage of eggs. Thanks for the reminder. I read that if the bbs mate in good water the new eggs are friable easily. So hopefully this the last batch of hard eggs.
I also made a 500nm grid into another chamber to separate the n* from the juvees. I haven't figured out how to feed them yet but hoping there is enough phyto/algae/copepods floating in the fuge load them up. Also potting some LEDs on an ESP to guide them through the stages of a maze exit hopefully into the DT in certain intervals for feeding. I'm journaling the process so I can automate it better in the next interation.
