Small particles in my tank

Hi everyone, I have a biocube thats been running a few months. Last week before I did a water change there was small particles floating around but not alot. After wc there was so many particles and still are. I'm planning on doing a bigger water change this weekend to see if it helps. I'm not sure if its detritus or something else. A week before the first particles appeared I did have some green algae but it is gone now. Any ideas?
