It seems that some companies love to promote their wares but only a few companies do this,
Would the companies please put their name on their power plugs, you know after the 40 ones they tend to get confusing on which one goes ware, they make pretty good chrome tape that can be printed. I found I had my return pump hooked up to my tiny power bar to my skimmer, and my skimmer plug into my return pump. Same make big difference in size.

Yeah, this is a common issue I find with electronics. Usually, you just have to guess what power plug goes where.

Before i go nuclear and unplug everything all at once, some blue painters tape and a sharpie always helps. I also do this to the plug ends so i know whats what at the powerstrip.
This is something I had in my mind, and what I might start doing!

It doesnt look as pretty as a labelmaker but it helps. The tape used to come in handy when i would need to unplug stuff by hand but I use those kasa power strips and my app has the plugs labeled now.

Those Kasa strips are great. I love that they function as a power monitor so I can check in from home and tell that my lights and heater are on, pumps are running, etc.

I have forgotten to turn something on more than once, remembered at work and then turned it on with the app.

Variation on the theme: I use white electrical tape and a black Sharpie. I label both ends this way. That way, I know what I need if I am under the cabinet or behind the tank. In the case of low voltage controllers (such as with my powerheads) I have 4 ends labeled for each unit. Tedious to label, but makes ongoing life easier.
The white tape is waterproof and more durable than painter's tape. It is also high-contrast w/r/t the printing, so easier to see in low light.

This is exactly what I did when setting up my control board. Added extra time but so worth it if I have to open it up, I know exactly what is what.
