Small shells on my newly bought pincushion urchin are live snails...?

I bought a pin cushion sea urchin today . It had some shells on its back but when I got home I saw they were live snails. I'm not sure if I should add the snails to my tank or not. I cannot identify them. Any idea what this is? I have 50 gal reef tank w inverts and a few fish.

Look up 'Sharks Eye Snail' might be match. They look similar... Do you know if it Atlantic in origin?

Does the shell have an opening? It looks like a snail's operculum (trap door).

That looks like a stomatellas foot. Sometimes they will drop it like a lizard does it’s tail.
