Ok, this really isn’t much compared to some other DIY’s we have on here, but this one I’m proud of and considering my wife’s lack of interest, I’m resorting to showing you guys!
I added a VERY small refugium (5.5g) to my setup and now have added an ATO using a Cambro restaurant food container. Total cost of ATO reservoir = $11. Refugium + overflow cost = $107 including light and sock. Total ATO build + micro ATO + refugium + overflow = $218 (had point to use on live aquaria for the ATO so knocked the price down by $22. Did it more for the experience than the result, but am seeing reduced Nitrates and growth in chaeto so hey, not bad, eh?

That is pretty nice! I love my small DIY projects and I love it when folks share their own DIY projects too!
