Can't quite figure this one out!
I am getting small white hairs on my 25 gallon IM lagoon inside glass.
It doesn't appear to be algae as they are white. Maybe something silicate based?
They aren't very long and I can whipe them away with an aquarium magnet cleaner/sponge or my hand but within an hour they start appearing again.
I recently had my gfo grind up on me and got some brown slime/crud in the rear sump area but I cleaned all of this out. I just thought I would share that in case there is a connection.
Here are some pictures! Any help on what they are and how to get them to stop appearing would be greatly appreciated!
These two are taken from above the tank and are of the side glass on the inside of the tank.
