So I replaced an MP10 in my tank with a 40 and now have an extra 10. Was thinking about putting the sponge in it and putting it at the bottom of my biopellet reactor to make it essentially a recirculating reactor so I could lower the flow going into my skimmer. Thoughts...smart or stupid...

Dude! That is the best and yet most expensive use for a mp10 I've heard of besides flow. Go for it and show some pictures.

I am going to do it this weekend only because I already have like 300gph going through it and one side tumbles real fast and the other side barely moves. I can only get good flow through 1 side unless I crank it way up and I don't want to send 600gph through my reactor into the skimmer. I don't know why flows only good on one side because I am using the avast nozzle
