Smart plug adjustable by the second?

Really? Just checked my Tuya strip and it does.
Because you set ON time as a ‘start’ and yes its a minute, but you can add a ‘delay’ which can be as accurate as a second. Then add ‘off’.

FYI I set up and tested the Shelly Gen 4 smart plug, it was pretty easy to program the app using the Shelly instructions and the PDF guide (attached) provided by Avast. After setting up an account and connecting the plugs to wifi I set up a "room" for the aquarium (complete with photo):

In the "room" I set up plug #1 for the feeder (I bought a 2-pack of them). You can turn the plug on/off manually from this screen:

You program it using the calendar tab - here I have it set to turn on at noon 7 days/week, toggled on:

Here I have it set to turn on at noon (12) and again at 5 PM (17). (you can also set the time in minutes). It allows you to set 5 actions per device - if you want to set more than 5 actions you have to subscribe to their premium service.

And in the timer tab I have it set to turn off after 1 minute 30 seconds.

You can even set it to turn off in milliseconds!

Anyway, it appears to work as advertised. It did feed my fish as scheduled. And I am not very tech savvy, so if I can do it you can too!

Thanks for the update! I still run a lot of things on analog style Christmas light timers you can only set in half hour increments, so this looks super useful.

Yes I still use old school timers too. I'm using this one for a plank mini feeder, which needs to be controlled by a timer that you can set in increments of minutes and seconds. This smart plug appears to do the trick.
