I am setting up my 35g cube which is 20x20x20. I have the Smatfarm G3 on it and just was reviewing the settings and came here to see what others had theirs at. I saw that a couple of people with 14g cubes who are running theirs at 100% on all channels. Does anyone know, should I be looking for a bigger light? I plan to keep mostly soft and LPS and an anemone. Any info anyone has would be helpful!

That light probably won't be powerful enough for a 35g. Maybe someone can chime in with the best light possible for your tank!

I know this is an older thread, but the Smatfarm G3 isn't a good choice if you're growing anything beyond soft corals in that size of tank. Even with softies, the outer edges of the tank (assuming a center mount) will have weak PAR levels.

I recommend the Smatfarm G5 instead. We're running it on a multiple [24x24x24] Zoa tanks at 70% intensity and getting full coverage. I can share our channel settings and PAR map if needed.

Happy reefing.

I'd love to know your channel settings. Thanks!
