Just bought a pair of 140W smatfarm g6s. My first pair of reef lights and it makes me feel like I’m in over my head lol. I’ve got them set up and navigating the lights are quite simple. But For those of you that have these lights, what settings are you running them on? I plan to start with some leathers and slowly getting into more of a mixed tank. When I hit the 6-7 month mark I’m also planning on getting an anemone. The thing I really don’t understand the most is how much of each spectrum color I should be aiming for while allowing everything to be able to grow just fine.

Also probably smart to add I have a 75gal tank that is 20 deep I believe. I have two of the lights and they are mounted 8in above the water line

I have this light as well.. I'm strugging to find a good setting or there's something else wrong with my parameters. Coral growth is just flat, one zoa colony closed up and never reopened. I've played around with the height and settings but currently am at roughly 40/70/70/70/10/10 and about 11-12 inches above tank. It's a 40 breeder. I used the photone app for PAR readings and everything seems to be good in the 50-150ish range.. I run filter socks, skimmer and refugium in a custom AIO so maybe im just keeping things too clean?

How is your settings now. Did the 40/70/70/70/10/10 work for your corals. I am having the same issue right now and I am trying to find a good setting.

Just remember if you’re dealing with unhappy corals. The lights are just one part of the equation don’t just hyper fixate that it MUST be your lights. When it very well could be your water
