My carpet anemone is in constant hiding in it's rock. I still haven't seen much as far as shriveling or a gaping mouth. It's color is about the same as when I bought it. I feed like mad so my clowns are growing at a very quick rate.

I'll be keeping a really close eye on it, if I see signs of infection I'll treat it. I have a feeling it's fine and is just too small and getting beat up from the clown activity. Not sure how to go about that? Maybe once I clear that frag rack I'll move the anemone rock down and crank the kessil all the way up and white. Leave the clowns out of the mix and see how it reacts.

Note to self always have spare tubing on hand. A $7 part just turned into $35 next day.

I’ll be guessing doses today since my consumption is high and I can’t go a day with nothing. I dosed 15ml this morning a/b bionic and plan to test in an hour. Then repeat until I find the right dosage.

Is it standard ro tubing? You can get some at home depot for like 5 bucks.

No unfortunately it’s a weird peristaltic specific tubing. Like what would be on dosing heads but wider diameter

Got back from a week vacation and the tank is looking really good. My sister did a great job. I set out pre-measure and thawed frozen food in dixie cups so she just needed to pour them in each tank and I didn't have to worry about under/over feeding. I also did this for live phyto. It actually worked out almost better than when I'm home which has me rethinking how much I feed.

Thanks for the kind words, I miss this tank! I upgraded to a larger system and am currently losing most of what I grew in this tank.


The g5 blues performed great, they were just way too blue for me. I considered going with the pros but then I would have needed 1 more for the spread I'd want on this new thank. I decided to swap to MH ahead of time since that's what I originally planned to run on the new system, get one change out of the way ahead of time. The cost/loss was going to be too much to do the pros and a new tank.

In the end I was blown away by the Reefbrite MH/LED combo for both growth and coloration. It has the edge over every other light source IMO for that natural look, the fish are amazing under MH too. I've mimicked the light appearance with t5 supplemented by kessils on my new build but would have loved to go MH again.
