Snail was on the glass this morning when lights came on. Just want to make sure its reef safe.

Looks like a stomatella. Does it’s shell look like a fingernail?

Kind of but it has brown dots on it's shell. He's still out and almost out of the water at the top. I have hermit crabs so I'm sure he'll become a snack soon enough.

Possibly! Hard to get a good picture of the top of him since he's on the front glass in the middle.
 

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
