snowflake eel (approx 11 in. in length) got itself stuck between the heater and the glass over night and i found it this morning. it definitely got burned, i was able to grab and hold himand move him to a different area of the tank. he is breathing, but lethargic.

is this survivable? is there anything i can do or should be doing at this point to try and heall the animal? any help would be appreciated.

In my view, the best thing you can do is leave it alone. It is probably stressed from the experience and will eventually bounce back.

Can you post photos?

Also, as has already been suggested, take the heater out of the display tank.

What size tank do you have? I'm also guessing that you don't use a sump, which is why the heater is in the tank?
