Hi all, first time here :)
Ive been setting up my Aqua one mini reef 120 with the intention of a snowflake and a zebra lion. My LFS says it will be fine but now that i have them on order im having those second doubts! Hopefully I'll be getting a 4x2x2 ft tank in the nearish future, but just in case id like to hear thoughts.

Here is some pics of tank and aquascape

You should be okay for a bit. It will all depend on th size of the snowflake and how much bioload your tank can handle.

Looking back up at your pics I notice there isn't a lid on your tank, also looks rimless. Eels are escape artists and jumpers. That would make me reconsider one.

Thanks for the reply, snowflake should be about the size of a pencil. There is a lid but it's pretty thin and fairly decent gaps on the width. I've been using a usb fan to stop condensation which has worked a treat. Will use some gladwrap to seal it off (will probably make fan useless) until i can come up with a more permanent solution. . The top is about 3mm thick so it's pretty light. Do they have a fair bit of force when trying to escape? Or is it just a case of any gap will do?

The smallest of holes and they are Houdini. A tight fitting lid is a must and glad wrap won't do the trick as they have a lot of force when they want. All it takes is about a 1/16inch and they are out. My chainlink went down a vent if that tells you anything.

Yeah, any hole and they will find it. I had a zebra eel for a while and it constantly found new ways to get into my overflow. Must be a tight fitting lid with no or very minimal gaps.

Ok so i don't have anything to measure with but i have used a usb plug for comparison. One photo with the gap on just one side of the tank, the other is gap spaced out on either side.

Looks a little easy for a SFE out exploring. 5 months in and overflow still modified.

For all the stuffing around trying to block it off, I might just get another lid cut for it and maybe some a couple of holes so i can more permanently mount the fan.. obviously with a mesh of some description covering vents...

I went to a screen mesh top, you can get everything at Home Depot or Lowes.

Your rock work looks good for an eel.
