i have a 29 gal bio cube set up and running with live sand and rock. also have 6 sps corals, a clown fish, blue leg crab and stomatella snail. the live rock and sand is abundant with little critters as well. last night i saw what looked like pale white almost clear flakes swirling around the tank as if you dropped way to much food in there. i couldnt find the source and fished as many as i could out with a net. today the tank looks normal again. im baffled and concerned. any ideas?

What are your Cal, Alk Mg levels at currently ? Sounds like it could possibly be Calcium being precipitated out ???

Cheers, Todd

Are you dosing calcium and alkalinity together at the same time?

If it was at night with the lights out, you sure it just wasn't a water critter?

if it is calcium precipitation you should start seeing a build up on your heater and other equipment
