Thanks to all who shared their advice during the major power outages in the U.S. earlier this year. I installed a power transfer switch (and bought a generator) a few months ago for just such an occurrence, which happened this morning. Everything was set...until we realized that the electrician had supplied us with the wrong cord and we couldn't use the transfer switch!

Fortunately, the power came back on at that moment. Lesson learned: check your cables and cords after getting a pricey electrical upgrade. :)

Glad the power came back on so quick!

I had the same situation happen to me recently.

The diy battery backup i had my pumps connected to was miswired but the power was out much longer. Was able to rewire it and get it fired up.
