I usually buy one inch sps frags. But they seem to take forever to grow.

If it make you feel any better, if the coral is not limited from a point-source light and has all necessary elements, growth is expoential and not liner. It has been my experience that the time that it takes a one-inch frag to get to a golf ball with a dozen branches is also the same time that it then again takes to get to grapefruit size.
