Wasn't sure where to post this, hope this is the right place.

Im currently soaking my new rock in saltwater in a bucket with some pumps. I have the lid on the bucket just so that no junk gets in the water and on the rock. Is using the tight fitting lid going to mess with gas exchange or cause any problems?

Been adding microbacter7 too, is that an issue?

Honestly I don’t know the answer but I would allow for air exchange. I would at least crack the lid on the bucket.
