I'm fighting SCA Dinos and started dosing silica to get some diatoms. Since I will need to replenish silica when diatoms start to grow, can I use dosing pumps when I leave home for a couple of weeks? And, if I can, do I dose 40% solution, or I dilute it into larger volume of water?

try brightwells sponge excel.

Usually you mix 1ml of waterglass with like 100 ml of ro water. You just need to ensure you are getting all of the waterglass dosed. The only thing I don't know is if it settles after time. I don't think so if it is well mixed, but, I usually just dump it in.
