My daughter was in Florida near Jacksonville and found this on the beach. I'm not sure what it is, so I have it in an acclimation container in my aquarium and it seems to be doing well. It is growing out of the end of the remains of a conch shell. I'm not even sure that it is a soft coral, it could be a macro algae. It has small clumps of translucent purple pods on the ends of very thin white stalks. Each pod looks like it has a dark purple "seed" in it. Anyone know what it might be?

Thanks, Rev. The tube part is actually the remains of a conch shell. From some discussions with hobbyists in the area, it sounds like it is actually an egg cluster from a marine snail of some type.
