Im in love with my Sohal!! He loves to zip around and is hard to get a good picture of. This tang is probably my favorite tang ever!!! They are rarely talked about and kept with aggression, so if you have a sohal take a minute to share yours!! :)

Ill go first, this is Shadow, he is about 3-4 inches long. He is in a 300 gallon display (plus 60 gallon sump) tank with the following tankmates:

Clown trigger
Red coris wrasse
Purple tang
White tail bristletooth tang
Purple tang
Sailfin tang
Tomato clown
Clarkii clown
Hawkfish
4 moray eels

Do you have aggression issues with your sohal?? Mine is in an 8 foot 300 gallon display. I love tangs and would add more but I dont want an issue with him when he gets bigger. I only have a bristletooth (she stays in the rocks like they usually do), a juvenile purple tang and an adult sailfin.

I don't think I have ever kept one of these tangs in the few years I have been reefing. Achilles is the other popular tang that I never have bagged?

I love those!!! I just dont have the money to get one :( if I did I would for sure have one! Post a picture of yours for sure!

Its a mean fish, put a huge gash in a fish last year. Definitely a last fish addition. They get more aggressive as they get older. Some people don't have any aggression with them, but my fish always have been cranky.

No way. . . . was too nasty but person I sold it to still has it and now at 11+ inches

Some people get lucky. I’ve heard these fish being terrors in anything but the largest of tanks. I had a small one and it took me barely 6 weeks to regret it. Gorgeous fish though. If I had a 10+ ft tank he’d be a forever fish
