Hello there,
I hope I’m going about posting in the correct way but I would value anyone who can provide an opinion!
I purchased a “WYSIWYG Davinci Clownfish Pair” from @coralfish12g on April 24th, I received them on Friday May 2nd & they’re quite different from the photo. Their customer service has said that these are the same clownfish & that they’ve just changed over the months, which I would say defeats the purpose of selling WYSIWYG.
I know I’m likely to get the most creditable opinions from you all in regards to if this drastic of a change is 1. Possible & 2. Commonplace. Additional details are below as to other red flags in my dealings with this company.
Thank you all!

Add: First off, I ordered these fish on Thursday April 24th, along with a few inverts from 2 other sites. Both of those sites contacted me the following day with updates for my orders, informing me they would be shipped on Monday the 28th, & they were both successfully delivered on the 29th. Apart from an automated “Thanks for your order” message, I received no other communication so I contacted Coralfish12g & asked for an update on the 29th.
I specifically asked if the fish were still doing well as I was aware that the listing had been up for at least 2 weeks, to which they assured me they were fine. They then said they could ship them on the 1st with delivery for Friday the 2nd. Upon arrival, the box was quite warm & aside from the fish the only other thing with them was 3 completely blank pieces of paper (for what would have been an order summary, their policy guidelines &/or an acclimation guide). Upon seeing the fish, I reached out immediately to them through email, their phone number was inactive, so I also messaged them through their site & got the response included in the attached images.
Secondly, I want to say that a LFS would have been my first choice but I have Systemic Lupus & am undergoing immunosuppressive therapy treatments which quite honestly makes outings a bit embarrassing & exhausting. That is the most upsetting part of all of this to me, these fish are beautiful & I will make their lives as lovely as I’d always planned; this just hits me in a soft spot as it reminds me of my limitations at the minute. Thank you if you’ve read this far, I appreciate all of you so very much as this site has made the entire saltwater process so inviting & less intimidating!!

Thank you to everyone for your replies!
I have included photos of both sides of the pairs for arguments sake & I agree that while not the same fish, these are stunning regardless!
I simply wish the company had said “Yes they’re different but here’s X Y Z reason why.”
Nevertheless, I still cannot believe they’re mine & they’ve assuredly found their forever homes in my tank!

Thread has been moved to vendor feedback. Outside comments are not permitted. This is so that @emilyjoannoe and @coralfish12g can hopefully come to a resolution.
Thank you,
