So I have a fish that looks like it has ich
I have not added fish to the system in months and I only buy fish from a place that does all the qt with copper for there customers.
Anyone know what this is ?????
I have added a clean up crew 2 mo tha ago and a couple corals over the last 3 weeks
All get dipped before going in tank

very well could be ICH

ICH is like the common cold...its everywhere

if you've had it in your tank before it might have stayed on the rocks, corals, inverts, etc.

Some fish are not good at handling ICH while others shake it off quickly

Feed good to keep their immune system strong

The pictures aren’t quite clear enough to diagnose this as ich, but something is going on.
Emperor angelfish are well known to change their skin color in response to any and all perceived issues, so they are usually one of the first fish to show signs of a disease.
What other fish are in with it?
Do you have a treatment tank available?

At this point, if you can see distinct white spots on the clear portions of the fins (as well as on the body) I would say this is ich. If the fins are free of spots, but there are larger spots on the body, like discolored areas, I think it is flukes.

Yes I do have a qt tank set up
I qt every fish that touches my house
I am believing I got this from a couple of frags I put in the tank in the last couple weeks
I really just can’t believe it.
Lesson learned but now I have to deal with this so what do I do
Pull it and start copper what happens to the other dish?
I am running uv in the tank and have been reading a lot on hydro peroxide in tank treatment?
Or do I pull all the fish and go fellow ?
This really blows

Sorry - there was a typo in my response, I meant the photos were not clear enough for a firm diagnosis. Can you try uploading a video? If this is flukes, you can treat in your DT. If it is ich, you’ll either try ich management, or pull all the fish and treat with Coppersafe.
