The update nobody ever asked for!
Messed up my “guesstimate” for salt for my water change (I like to do them 3-4 times a year) so in order to dilute the salinity I had to make an extra 50 gallons of RODI.
I just changed about 60% of the water in the tank. Caused a 7 degree temp drop, but it did allow me to get a LOT of sediment off the bottom. I wish I had a better vacuum system too. I probably lost 40-50 snails and crab in the process.
During the summer (it will switch back soon) I have kept my lights off during the day and on Midnight-7am or so. I look forward to switching back to day/evening lights
I do have a chiller now. Heck, I can’t even remember where I left off with this build
