As the title says, we have a rose bta with a section of ~10 tentacles that are always small and bubbled while the rest are straight. Do I chalk this up to “btas are weird and will do what they want”?
Some background: new bta owners, bought it last Sunday from a trusted LFS. Acclimated an hour, put in tank. Pleasantly surprised it has not moved from place we put it. It has eaten and looks healthy. But what’s with this section of bubbled tentacles? They’re there everyday in the same spot, same number.

Sometimes those are the newer tentacles that haven't grown yet. It looks great. Wouldn't worry about it.
