well, do you know how big he is? And if he's even a smasher? I don't think pistol shrimps attack unless the crab has been bothering it, so pretty high chance it's the mantis

I think it's a smithii. So pretty small but yes a smasher

That claw looks like a gorilla crab. If so, gorillas are not desirable. I had a few gorillas on gulf live rock.

No. I found the rest of the crab/s on the bottom.

Prob just a crab molt. I'd look for the crab.
