Something is wrong with my toadstool

I got my toadstool two weeks ago and it opened up a couple days later but it has been like this for the last week, what's wrong with it?

What are your water parameters? Ca, alk, mg, ph, salinity, nitrates, phosphates and temp? It looks very unhappy.

I ordered a test kit today, I don't see how the candy cane is doing fine but it isn't

Give it more flow, if in a mod to lower flow area. Do not move it if possible but adjust flow direction. Toadstools/Sarcophyton are sensitive to being manipulated and transported and take longer to acclimate than typical soft corals.
Sarcophyton develop a coating to rid themselves of detritus and algae, they must shed this coating before they open completely.
As always with coral issues trouble shoot water chemistry.

Thanks for the advice, am putting in a new pump so I'll be sure to put it in his direction

I agree. Let it be. My fella likes to be in the flow on the rocks. But see if it opens up down there first, as its already angry.

Also, looks like you have Dinos or cyano in the tank. How old is the tank?

Like 3 weeks, still very young

You mean the tank is setup for three weeks? It's not ready for corals...have you checked ammonia and nitrites...

Ammonia and nitrites are all fine, I started with all live rock and sand and a bottle of bio Spira, everything is up to par, I'm getting test kits for calcium magnesium and alkalinity tomorrow so I can monitor those, I have supplements ready if needed.
