Something looks wrong on this hammer.

Picked up a few corals and they all seem to be doing well except for one branch on this hammer. I have had it since Sunday and I noticed this stuff on it yesterday.. it looks worse this morning.. here is a pic

Looks like brown jelly disease. I'd clip that branch off and dip the rest of the colony in an iodine dip every day for the next few days. Don't wait. BJ can kill them pretty quickly

Yeah I figured it was dead. I will get that section off of there this evening when I return from work and class.

Brown Jelly sounds like it can be a pretty big issue. I will have to look up information on the dip. .Thank you!!

Make sure to keep all of the “jelly” isolated. It spreads quickly.
This can’t be stressed enough! Brown jelly can wipe out large Euphyllia colonies in a matter of days... the moment you see it pop up on a head cut the head off it won’t survive anyway and maybe by doing this you save the colony.
