So aptasia is bad what caused itAgreed.
Aptasia on the torch, it should be removed as they spread fast and can irritate/kill coral.
Hair algae can be taken care of with a good clean up crew and manual removal.
Ok awesome thanks so is it a certain way I need to take it offNothing caused it, It was always there on that coral when you bought it. It just grew exponentially while you were gone.
Ok awesome thanks buddyId buy some aiptasia-x or similar product to take care of it. Super easy to use. Far easier than trying to remove it from the skeleton of that torch.
Thanks!Not a problem, Happy Reefing!
Personally, I would kill it outside the tank.Ok awesome thanks buddy
Good point, it’s close enough to the torch that there’s a risk of injuring it with chemicals in the water.Personally, I would kill it outside the tank.
A squirt of lemon juice over the sink and a little scrub of a brush. More lemon juice and final rinse of tank water.
Any in tank killing of that has the potential to spread it all over.
what about lemon on land though?Good point, it’s close enough to the torch that there’s a risk of injuring it with chemicals in the water.
my experience is that F Aptasia is easier and more consistently applied than A-XOk awesome thanks buddy
I’d think it’s easier to isolate chemicals on land vs getting into the water column.what about lemon on land though?
F aptaisia is easy to use. But, again, do it out of the tank and let it harden up before going back in the tank.my experience is that F Aptasia is easier and more consistently applied than A-X
