Something on my torch

Hi Reef2Reef team,

Have noticed that there is a long white shell type thing growing on the skeleton of my torch which seems to be hosting something within it. You can see in the video that something worm looking that is black peaks out. The torch doesn't seem to mind it but I'm curious as to what it is and whether it's something I should look to remove?
