I am possibly setting up a 220gal reef tank later this year and don't see continuing to purchase Red Sea Calcium supplement to be economically feasible.

I have read @Randy Holmes-Farley article on homemade supplements (http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php) and cannot find any of the products he recommends local or via Amazon.

I saw some people were using pickling lime, but all products I find here are Calcium Hydroxide.

So I was wondering what other products you guys are using for making your calcium chloride supplements.

I have considered it, I like the system I currently have and will be migrating my equipment over so to lower the costs of the move I didn't want to make that investment.
