Hey guys, today we bought a space invader chalice. I have read online that some chalices have deadly sweeper tentacles. *cringes*..we have a 10 gal tank with a few corals (hammer, frogspawn, zoas, acans) all the corals are at a good distance from the space invader but the only one I’m worried about is the acan colony..I would say they are maybe 3 inches apart? I read that the sweeper tentacles on the space invader can reach 6 inches but mine is pretty small. Do you think I should move the space invader? Also I read that they like medium to low flow/medium to low light so I have it in a slightly shaded area right now. Any information that is helpful as far as care is appreciated. Also my acans are not happy in the pic because I just moved them.

In my experience it’s been hit or miss with how far my chalices extend. Some go far some hardly at all. Just keep an eye on it at lights out to monitor.

did you ever figure out the best spot for it? mine is happy every morning but curls up during the day, puffy and happy at night. I was thinking in a shadow too.

They are pretty adaptable. Mine is content at moderate light 50-150 PAR and moderate flow
