Sorry for raising a old thread but the Space Invader is hands down my favorite and I wanted to share my success.

Fragged and grown under Kessil 160we 6 inches under water, 6 inches above water 78% intensity medium flow next to power head but not in front. Once they grow larger than the stone frag they are moved middle tank in 90 gal, 80% intensity 360we.

Frags start as about the size of a sphere the diameter of a nickel. Time from frag to the large size shown in my photos is 8-9 months.

I do not direct feed.

Now that I have a bunch of large pieces I will start to experiment more with placements similar to those others here have had success with and post back with growth comparisons.

Nice piece man. That's my second to buy coral (first I'm chasing for the perfect scoly). What is your experience with the Kessils? I also have two of the A360WEs and they are pretty much new. I had read mixed opinions on them of people saying that they don't grow SPS. Mine are too new to tell but I think I had the intensity too high at 70% because my corals started to lose color and didn't get that much of polyp extension. I dialed down to 60% today. I also have a 90 gal tank (48x24x18)

Anyone know how long the sweepers get on these? And will they win a battle with zoas or live in harmony?
Thanks

6"-8" and from my experience they will kill anything they touch. My Zoas will shrivel away after a few nights of warfare. But they will come back once I move them.

I keep mine on its own island near the surface under T5s.

Got that piece for $80
It’s in the exact middle/middle of my tank vertically and horizontally. Under a T5/Kessil 360x hybrid light system. I’m excited to see it grow and to join the pectinia owners club. Been wanting a drag of this for a long time!
