Scientific name - Bodianus rufus

Common name – Spanish Hogfish

Size - 10 in (25.5 cm)

Min. Aquarium size - 125 gal (473 L)

Temperament - Aggressive

Foods and feeding - Should be fed a variety of high quality marine meaty foods. Will also eat other crustaceans.

Reef compatibility - Not reef safe.

Captive care – As a juvenile it will clean parasites off of other fish and is quite peaceful. As it matures it will get more aggressive, needing larger housing and more aggressive tank mates. It will harass and possibly kill smaller tank mates.
