Was wondering if any one has any articles on setting up a split sump I want skimmer heater return in one tank and fuge In another under my tank it's 3x4 under my tank so I have plenty of room to play with I want to go with a large fuge is the reason for this

Feed the fuge off of the return pump and have it drain back into the return section. Fuge tank should be a little taller than sump so it can easily drain back in.

This might give you some ideas. This is a custom LifeReef sump that I had built about 7 years ago. The fuge on the right side is almost 20 gallons and is completely separate from the other part of the sump.
