Sponges tend to be harmless unless they start to grow over coral. They are also difficult to get a scientific identification. Those types look like common sponges you probably don’t need to worry about.

Is this tube sponge I asked around and that's what I was told but I'm not sure. If now what is it it seems to have popped up over night or in like 3-4 days bc I do regular maintenance and didn't notice it.

Pic in question
Very typical of clatharina sponge which is a poriferan type sponge which favors low light and low flow areas. Can be easily peeled. While harmless can be unsightly and will continue to spread.

So just take a razor and scrape it off? How should I go about it or just leave it be and it will go away on its own? I've got some attaching to rock in my display as well but it's not everywhere thankfully.

Also need a sponge ID. Slow growing but seems to encapsulate its territory.
