Sponge id

Not really a critter but figured id post here. Found this white sponge in my macro algae and seems to be coating the stems within the body if the algae. I don’t want it to choke it out or it spread to other areas if it is an invasive sponge but if it is a harmless filter feeder I don’t want to rid the tank of it either. I took a few pics,

Can not help with the ID.

To be blunt, the red seaweed is pretty. I would remove the sponge.

Thanks, I removed what I could but it’s still in there. When I moved the macro to take it out the some particles of the sponge floated off of it but some was grown into the stems. I don’t mind throwing some macro out with it on there if I need to but didn’t want to if it is a simple filter feeder and non invasive to other things. I know some sponge is pretty invasive so hoping it’s not one of them. The macro is in a pretty dim part of the tank and the sponge is nestled in the middle of the algae
