sponges

I have alot of pine apple sponges in my fuge. I know there good but is there anything that will eat sponges. pencil urgin, percilin crabs,etc.?

I have noticed when they become over-abundance or out of control, simply to an abundance of the food supply. Since they tend to enjoy darker places such as pumps and where they are almost always found when it is an abnormality it is the food supply that they are seeking. As far as in your main tank do you see them there any at all in abnormal areas? Do you have algae on your glass and anywhere in fuge? Minimizing nutrients will drop their numbers. :)
