I was buying a scopas tang at the pet store today, perfectly healthy swimming around, no kind of issue what so ever. Just a plump scopas tang. I observed it for a while to watch for any kind weird behavior - nothing. I decided to buy it, the guy in the store calmly scooped it up, put it in the bag and bang, It’s floating at the top, not moving, not breathing just perfectly still. Even the guy said he doesn’t know what happened. They gave me the fish for free just in case it came back to life somehow, but I’m just confused by what happened. There were plenty of other fish in the tank and they all seemed to be fine. Currently floating in a q tank, does anyone have any experience with this odd situation?
