Hi all,

I woke up this morning to find a scary looking spot on my foxface. It wasn’t there last night when I fed him. He’s acting normal. Any idea what this could be?

The only change to the tank in months was adding two fully quarantined euphyllia torches last week.

This is a puncture wound/injury and should heal on its own, however do keep an eye on it to assure its healing and not becoming sore or infected
If so, treatment will be in a separate tank using seachem kanaplex with added aeration

I am sorry to see that, hopefully he'll be better soon!

I had a tang with a similar injury a couple of months back. I followed @vetteguy53081 advice and successfully managed to reintroduce him into the tank few weeks back.

It's legit, he's the real deal - so listen carefully! :upside-down-face:

He’s been trying to show his dominance over the tomini in the second picture. Maybe they got into it during the night. Thanks.

My biggest worry is having to remove fish from this tank. It would mean removing all the rocks. No chance in hell I’ll get him out otherwise.

If you start now, ruby rally pro is reef safe and should prevent infection

Did a 40% water change last night to hopefully avoid infection. It seems to be healing already. Looks much better than yesterday.

Clean water helps in more ways than one
