Spot Feeding LPS

I having seen anything definitive that says one way or another. When spot feeding LPS is it important to get each head in a colony? Does the colony share the nutrients? I'm interested to hear everyone's thoughts.

Did my first spot feed and got most heads. Once one got a taste, it was cool to see all the sweepers come out!

Someone pointed out in a thread a ways back, what happens if you have one of those tanks devoted to Acans, will feeding that much affect water quality? Yeah it's a possibility, so feed one colony one day and so on and so forth. Then we come to the theory that corals waste more energy actually consuming and digesting then the nutritional rewards offered by target feeding, nonsense say I.
Yes corals share certain vascular systems, corals take up DOC but my LPS have always done better if I feed each polyps.

Mine always looked their best when I tried to feed every head. Nutrient export definitely was a problem and I'm trying to balance that now a days.

I always found it funny how many people wouldn't question feeding an RBTA but don't feed LPS...all corals/anemones are basically just a mouth with tentacles to pull food into that mouth. Exceptions occur of course, but I have LPS that actively hunt food not just capture it LOL.

so far looks like consensus is to feed all heads when/if possible.

I do have to say, it was pretty awesome watching my Favia and Hammer work mysis towards their mouths!
