Foods and feeding - Marine fare for carnivores, marine fish, crustacean flesh, feed 2-4 times a week.
Reef compatibility - Dines on ornamental crustaceans and fish tank mates.
Captive care - Acclimates well to captivity, will greedily accept chopped fresh or frozen seafood's, other frozen preparations, freeze dried krill, keep only one per aquarium (prone to fight with each other), will eat any fish it can swallow whole including cleaner wrasse, will defend its preferred hiding places, will place an elevated stress on filtration systems, can be kept with other groupers of the same size, introduce at the same time or the smallest 1st. This fish is too large but for the largest systems, if startled will dash about into glass and things most likely damaging itself.
