Spotted my Carribean clingfish today

Not the best pictures but he was a hitchhiker on some KP live rock. I honestly thought he died. Nope. Turns out he found his way to the sump and has lived there ever since. Last I saw him he was about 1/2 inch. He’s now about 1.5 inches. Found him while cleaning the sump some.

very interesting find and cool that it survived both live rock shipping and pipework and filter mesh to make it to the sump, that little guy's a survivor

He’s surprisingly aggressive. Not scared of my hand and jumping at the batttlebrush I was using to clean the sides. With how tiny he was originally, and I don’t run filtersocks, it probably wasn’t too terrible of a ride for him

What a wonderful hitchhiker! These little guys are great, but they do have the small problem of a rather large mouth for their size, meaning anything that isn't bigger than them is a potential meal.

Thanks! Yea I’m glad he’s in my sump. Not that I have small fish but I don’t think I’d ever see him otherwise
